‘Buckhead Shaman’ is the facetious alter ego of Atlanta musician Tyler Hobbs and moniker for his experimental psych pop project. Live, Hobbs is joined by some of Atlanta’s most talented prog rock musicians, Clay Skinner (gmastuff, CCC), Leland Woodard (KYLE), and Michael Jordan (Myltys).

The Janitor (Terrible Records, 2021) is the successor to Buckhead Shaman’s Truly, the 2019 debut album which established Hobbs’ potential as a visionary force in pop music. The Janitor is a collection of sixteen individual musical tours de force sequenced to flow with sonic and thematic coherence alongside Hobbs’ film of the same name. With The Janitor, Buckhead Shaman unlocks a new musical world infused with hints of music from the past six decades while still remaining very present.
